so first you need to go to this website and click the button labeled "Installer"
then once you've done that, go into the "Downloads" folder on Windows File Explorer, or click the file labeled forge-1.21.11-61.0.8-installer.jar in the downloads dropdown menu.
(if you use Explorer for this step, then look for the aforementioned file forge-1.21.11-61.0.8-installer.jar.)
now that you've done that, you can move on to the installer itself. and that calls for a new-
it's time for the juicy stuff, the installation. make sure you have the minecraft launcher open for this step!
THIS PART IS OPTIONAL! if you find it too complicated, feel free to skip these steps.
you're going to need to make a new folder. first, go into your start menu and type the following: %appdata% and press enter.
once in the Roaming folder, double-click .minecraft at the top.
right click in this folder and select New, then Folder in the menu that pops up next to your mouse. name it however you like.
now this is where the minecraft launcher comes in. look at the top of the window, for "Installations". click it. once the screen changes, click "New". once the menu opens, make sure the version dropdown says 1.21.11. THIS IS CRUCIAL. change the folder to that folder you made earlier.

now, the forge installer window. just click install there.
back in the launcher, check your "Installations" tab. it should have a forge version. hit launch to confirm it's in working order.
once checked, exit out and get to
for this step, search up modrinth on google, and click the first result. at the top, click Discover content, then Mods. in the box labeled Search mods, type "create" and click the first result. go to "Versions", and click the download button next to the one that says "1.21.1".
this is a 1.21.11 OR 1.21.1 mod so if you want full machinery then download 1.21.1's version.
go here and go to "Files". in files, filter by 1.21.xx and mod loader "Forge". click the top result, then "Download" and wait 10 seconds
if you still have %appdata%/.minecraft open, navigate to the folder labeled mods. drag your downloaded .jar mods (and optifine's .jar) into said folder.
